Sophie painted the most beautiful representation of the beautiful lagoon that we had in front of our previous home. This spot holds such precious memories for us and looking at it everyday is so heartwarming – the way she brought it to life with such vibrancy and incredible colours was absolutely amazing. Our pop. To most people, this painting shows a stunning sunset, with a hat and whip resting on a log after a long, hard days work. To most people, this painting depicts the reality of the outback, the challenging life of people that live and work on the land. But to us, this painting is so much more. To us this painting is our grandfather. A one of a kind soul who spent his younger years as a drover. After he passed, we wanted to create a tribute to the beautiful man he was.
